This notice describes the information handled by the Metis Computer service and native app.

Who to contact

Metis Computer is the name of this independently operated software service, based in Singapore. Contact support@metis.computer to reach the person responsible for data protection, or for privacy questions, access, correction or deletion requests. We may ask for enough information to verify that a request concerns your account.

Account and service information

We process your email address, display name, sign-in provider identifier, account sessions and device identifiers to create and secure your account. Google sign-in supplies the verified identity information needed to sign in; email sign-in uses a short-lived link. We also process organization and group memberships, desktop names and public identifiers, online presence, access grants, subscription status, promotion claims, cloud usage and administrative audit records.

Your work and connected providers

Local conversations, project files and provider settings are stored by the app on the computer where you work. Prompts, selected files and tool results may be sent to a provider when you use that provider. Your provider’s own terms and privacy policy apply. Work on a cloud desktop is stored and processed on that cloud computer. Choose provider permissions and shared folders carefully.

The account database is used for identity, billing, directory metadata and access management; it is not a central store for your desktop content or personal AI provider credentials. Remote transport encrypts desktop traffic between endpoints. A relay forwards encrypted traffic and can observe connection and traffic metadata. People you authorize to view or control a desktop can see the content that desktop exposes.

Service providers

Cloudflare hosts the public website, account service, database, email sending and relay infrastructure. Stripe processes payments and billing; Metis receives billing identifiers and subscription/payment status, not your full card details. Google provides optional sign-in. Boat supplies managed cloud compute. Support email is forwarded to an inbox operated for Metis Computer. Infrastructure and support providers may process data in countries other than yours.

Why we process information

We use service information to provide subscriptions and desktops, enforce access and allowances, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, answer requests and meet applicable legal obligations. Depending on the law that applies, these activities may rely on providing a contract, legitimate interests in a secure service, legal obligations or consent where required. Optional provider integrations and local permissions remain choices you control.

Cookies and browser storage

The account website uses a secure session cookie for sign-in and local session storage to continue app connection and billing choices. The public website does not add advertising trackers or third-party analytics. Hosting providers may process IP addresses and request metadata for delivery and security. Stripe and Google apply their own storage policies when you visit their pages.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and service records while needed to provide the service, maintain security, handle disputes or satisfy legal retention duties. Expired sign-in material is cleaned up automatically; routine account audit entries are retained for up to 90 days. Billing, promotion and cloud usage records can require longer retention. Saved cloud work remains on its provider until deleted; removing an assignment or stopping a desktop does not erase it. Contact support to request account or cloud-data deletion and to understand any retained records.

Your choices and rights

You can sign out sessions, stop publishing desktops, revoke sharing grants and cancel renewal in your account. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to your data-protection authority. These rights are subject to applicable law. Deleting local app data and requesting deletion of hosted account or cloud data are separate actions.

Children and updates

Metis is intended for adults able to enter a subscription contract. Do not create an account for a child. We will update this notice as the service changes and identify material changes through the account service or appropriate notices.
