These terms apply to the Metis Computer app and hosted services. Mandatory rights under applicable law are not excluded.

The service
Metis Computer is an independently operated software service based in Singapore, offered to customers globally. It is not an incorporated company. Metis is an actively developed macOS preview. Features, compatibility and interfaces may change. The current plan description and checkout specify what you purchase. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or a particular result from an AI agent.
Your account and responsibility
Use accurate account information and keep access credentials secure. You must have authority over projects, provider accounts, computers and data you connect. Review agent actions and requested permissions. Do not use the service for unlawful activity, unauthorized access, abuse of infrastructure, or interference with another person’s data. We may restrict service proportionately to address abuse, security incidents, nonpayment or legal obligations.
Plans, usage and sharing
Growth includes three remotely accessible local desktop sessions across your account; Ultimate includes ten. Offline published sessions count. Each plan separately includes one concurrent cloud desktop of the listed specification. Annual billing retains monthly cloud-runtime allowance windows. Provider AI subscriptions and usage are not included. A local host must be online with Metis running for remote access.
You decide who can view or control shared desktops. Sharing does not transfer ownership of cloud infrastructure. Lower allowances, plan changes or loss of paid access can restrict remote access and safely stop cloud desktops. Saved work is retained when a desktop stops; permanent deletion is a separate action. Keep your own backups and export important work before cancellation or deletion.
Payment and renewal
Prices are in USD. Growth is $99 monthly or $950.40 annually; Ultimate is $199 monthly or $1,910.40 annually. Annual prices are 20% below twelve monthly payments and are charged upfront. The checkout shows any applicable tax, discount and total. Subscriptions renew at the stated interval until you cancel. We will give any notice required by law before changing renewal prices.
Use your account’s billing portal to cancel renewal or change a plan. Same-interval tier changes are prorated. Switching monthly and annual intervals starts a new billing period. Any amount due is shown before confirmation, and access changes after payment verification. Cancelling renewal normally keeps access until the end of the paid period, unless a refund, security restriction or legal requirement ends it earlier.
Promotions
Current launch offers appear in the plan cards and are confirmed at Checkout. A limited customer allocation permits one claim per Metis account per offer family. The monthly launch offer applies to the first monthly payment only and cannot be combined with annual billing or a promotion code. Annual plans retain their separate 20% saving. The displayed offer identifies any later campaign’s rate, scope and duration; changes do not rewrite discounts already granted.
An offer’s displayed rate, eligible plan, billing interval, redemption limit, dates and discount duration form part of that offer. Annual savings and promotional discounts do not stack unless the offer expressly says otherwise. Limited first-customer allocations are reserved during checkout and consumed by qualifying purchases; a refunded claim is not returned to the allocation. One eligible discount applies to a purchase. When the discounted period ends, the stated regular price applies. Disabling a promotion prevents new redemptions and does not rewrite discounts already granted.
24-hour first-purchase guarantee
For your first paid Metis subscription purchase, email support@metis.computer within 24 hours of the initial successful payment to request a full refund of that purchase. Include the email used for your Metis account. The request time controls eligibility; you do not need to wait for a reply within the 24 hours. This voluntary guarantee applies once, to an initial monthly or annual purchase, and does not cover renewals or later upgrades.
An approved refund ends the refunded subscription access. We safely stop any running cloud desktop rather than force-stopping it; contact support before requesting permanent deletion of saved data. Refunds go to the original payment method, subject to payment-provider processing times. Charges paid separately to AI providers or other third parties are outside this guarantee.
Statutory cancellation and remedies
The 24-hour guarantee is additional to rights that cannot be waived. You may have a longer cancellation period or a right to repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund when a digital service is faulty or not as described. For example, applicable UK/EEA distance-contract rules may provide a 14-day withdrawal period, subject to the rules for digital content and services. Starting to use Metis does not by itself waive those rights. We will not rely on a waiver without any express consent and acknowledgements required by law. Contact support to exercise a statutory right; we will assess the request under the law that applies to you.
Data, ownership and limits
You retain your rights in your content. You give Metis Computer and its service providers the permissions needed to process it to provide the requested service. Third-party software, AI providers and infrastructure have their own terms. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to reasonably foreseeable direct loss arising from our breach, and we do not accept liability for independent provider outputs or actions outside our control. Nothing excludes liability or consumer guarantees that the law prohibits excluding.
Contact and changes
Contact support@metis.computer for support, cancellation, privacy or disputes. We will try to resolve concerns fairly. Material changes to these terms will be notified as required; changes do not remove rights that arose before the change. Any mandatory law or right to bring a claim in your local courts continues to apply.
